Quote Request Guide and Useful Tips
How to get the most accurate price quote when submitting a search?
• Enter your correct contact information, otherwise limousine companies cannot reach you and give you a price quote. You get better results when you enter a phone number in addition to your email.
• Enter the correct date when service is needed: Because some days are busier than others. Limousine companies might have different rates for each day depending on availability and demand.
• Choose your pick up and drop off times correctly;
- 1. Your pick up and end times must show whether you need service AM or PM. (a) because our system calculates the number of hours you request according to your entry. For example if you enter your pick up time as 3:00 PM and drop off time at 7:00 AM instead of PM our system will calculate your number of hours requested as 16 hours instead of 4 hours. (b) Prices may vary according to time of the day when service is needed.
- 2. Your end time is rounded to the next hour if you choose a value equal or greater than 15 minutes because all limousine companies charge by the hour. For example if you need service from 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM, 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM it will automatically be calculated as a 4-hour service.
Pick up time is when you want the vehicle to be at your pick up location. End time is when you no longer need the service for the day.
Limousine companies charge for standby time even if you are not in the vehicle. For example if want to go to a restaurant and need a ride back after few hours, your pick up time will be when you want the vehicle to pick you up from your home. End time will be when you want to be dropped off home after the dinner.
In some cases if your pick up or end location is in a remote area, you might be charged for “travel time” depending on how far your pick up or drop off location is from the limousine company's office.
• Choose the correct number of hours: (when entering pick up and drop off times).
Most limousine companies have an “hourly minimum” or a minimum booking time required to allow a reservation.
Larger vehicles, busy seasons, cities with high traffic, weekends, holidays, and late hours usually have a higher hourly minimum.
Please be advised that if you enter a very low number of hours, especially for service on weekends/holidays you might not find your vehicle, and many limousine companies will not contact you with a price quote. There is an average of 4 minimum hours for most Limousine services on weekends and holidays.
A typical limousine company would have the following hourly minimum for each occasion and each vehicle. This varies according to high season or in big cities with high demands. Of course, not all limousine companies have these figures this is just a typical example.

How long will it take to receive my price quote?
Usually you will get a price quote within 24 hours. Some companies have an automated price quote, if set your quote will be sent instantly to your email.
How do I reserve my vehicle?
This depends on the limousine company that you choose; after getting a price quote from multiple companies and choosing the one that best fits your needs, ask that company how to proceed with completing the reservation. We also suggest that you learn about their terms and conditions such as cancellation policy before you make your reservation.
Useful tips for limousine customers:
Before you make your reservation: - Ask the limousine company about any additional charges (besides gratuity and tax) before you make your reservation. For example: fuel surcharge, meeting and greeting fees for airport, extra travel time, or any other fee.
- Ask the limousine company about their cancellation policy. For example: The deadline for canceling without being charged. Ask about cancellation fees, etc...
- If you think you might go over the time limit you have reserved it is better to inform the limousine company before the date of service. This will save you money and it guarantees availability for the extra time. If the company has the vehicle reserved after your time is over they might not be able to extend your reservation last minute.
- Call the limousine company to confirm your reservation a week ahead to insure they still have your reservation. It is a good idea to call the day of service a few hours prior to pickup, especially if it is a wedding.
- Request the driver's name and phone number in case the driver is late or can't find your location, it will be easier to fix the problem directly with the driver.
During the service:- Be courteous with the driver. He/she is the one who can make your experience a pleasant one.
- Always request a receipt. Especially if you're paying cash and your credit card is on file at their office. If there is any confusion and your card is charged more that you expected you can use your receipt to dispute the extra charges with the limousine company or even with your bank.
- Try not to damage anything in the vehicle or cause excessive cleaning. You may be charged extra if either occurs. Refer to the limousine company terms and condition when you make your reservation.
- When dropped off at your destination, don't forget to ask the driver for his/her phone number and call 10-15 minutes before you're ready to leave for your next destination.
- Don't leave valuables in the vehicle. Don't forget anything in the vehicle after the service is completed. No one is responsible for your belongings except you.
Tipping the driver:
Typical gratuity is 15-20% of your total bill.
Most limousine companies charge the 15-20% gratuity automatically upfront when you pay for your reservation. However, in most cases the driver does not get this whole portion; each limousine company has a different policy, for example: some companies may split the gratuity between all drivers and the administrative staff.
In this case, you can give him/her an addition 10% or so.
If the limousine company doesn't charge the gratuity upfront, you're expected to give at least 20% cash tip for the driver. (preferably in cash)
It's a good idea to give the driver half of the tip in the beginning or during the service and the rest at the end. This way the driver would have a chance to show you his/her appreciation and provide you an excellent service.
